DFW BRAIDERS HAIR SHOW & COMPETITION

BEAUTY EXPO • CULTURE • ENTREPRENEURSHIP

A future where beauty, business, creativity, and community come together under one roof.

THE VISION

MORE THAN A SHOW.

A platform where the braiding community gets to be seen, celebrated, and connected.

Imagine walking into a venue filled with excitement. A giant sign reads DFW Braiders Hair Show & Competition — Beauty Expo. The lights are shining. The music is playing. The room is filled with beautiful hairstyles, talented braiders, beauty entrepreneurs, and people discovering something new.

This is a gathering built around the people behind the artistry. It is a place where independent braiders, established professionals, emerging talent, beauty businesses, and supporters share one experience.

It is bigger than a magazine and bigger than a single event. It is a platform that gives local talent visibility, recognition, connections, and opportunities.

BEAUTY IS THE INDUSTRY. BRAIDING IS THE ART. COMMUNITY IS THE FOUNDATION.
THE MAIN EVENT

THE ART OF BRAIDING.

A stage for skill, creativity, technique, and professional recognition.

Braiders arrive with their tools, models, supplies, and confidence. Some have been braiding for years. Others are stepping into their first major opportunity. Each competitor has a place to participate, a category to compete in, and an opportunity to demonstrate what their hands can create.

The announcer introduces the competitors. Judges evaluate parts, patterns, precision, creativity, technique, and finished styles. Cameras capture the transformations. The audience watches, cheers, and celebrates the work.

Winners receive prizes. Participants leave with photographs, recognition, professional connections, and opportunities to grow their reputations and reach new potential clients.

LOCAL TALENT DESERVES A STAGE.
THE COMMUNITY DESERVES TO SEE IT.
THE BUSINESS MODEL

THREE STREAMS OF OPPORTUNITY.

Competitors, attendees, vendors, and sponsors each contribute to creating the experience.

01

The Competitors

Braiders participate through competition entries. Their investment supports the experience, including exposure, prizes, recognition, and opportunities to establish their professional reputations.

Talent becomes visible.

02

The Public

Attendees purchase tickets to experience the competition, discover hairstyles, meet braiders, explore products, learn, take pictures, and enjoy a day centered on beauty and culture.

Community becomes participation.

03

Vendors & Sponsors

Beauty supply stores, hair extension brands, wig companies, cosmetics businesses, and entrepreneurs participate through booth spaces and sponsorship opportunities.

Businesses meet their audience.

The event is designed around a business model in which competitors, ticket buyers, vendors, and sponsors each contribute to making the experience possible. Revenue opportunities are connected to the value delivered to each participant.

The budget is established before committing to a venue. Competition entries, vendor commitments, ticket sales, sponsorships, and production costs are evaluated before financial commitments are made. Decisions are based on actual costs and realistic sales expectations.

BEYOND THE EVENT

A GROWING BEAUTY MEDIA PLATFORM.

The hair show is the beginning of a larger beauty media business.

Before the show, the digital magazine introduces the professionals who make up the DFW beauty community. Braiders are interviewed, their work is showcased, their specialties are featured, and readers are directed toward their booking pages.

Social media content helps people discover local professionals throughout Dallas–Fort Worth. The website connects customers with talent. The hair show brings those relationships into one physical gathering.

After the event, the magazine publishes winners, highlights vendors, shares photographs, celebrates participants, and introduces future opportunities.

MAGAZINE

Tells the stories and introduces the talent.

WEBSITE

Connects customers with professionals.

SOCIAL MEDIA

Attracts attention and builds awareness.

HAIR SHOW

Brings the community together in person.

THE EVENT CREATES CONTENT.
THE CONTENT CREATES ATTENTION.
THE ATTENTION BUILDS THE NEXT EVENT.

Each edition creates more opportunities for braiders, vendors, sponsors, readers, and beauty professionals. The magazine supports the event. The event supports the magazine. Each experience creates material, relationships, and awareness for the next edition.

This is an ecosystem designed to be repeated, improved, and expanded — not simply a single Saturday on the calendar.

FROM VISION TO COMPLETION

THE ROAD TO REALITY.

Six stages turn the original idea into an organized, repeatable event.

01

The Foundation

Choose the event name, outline the budget, contact affordable venues, and confirm the requirements for ticket sales and vendor booths.

02

The Sales Page

Establish one landing page with three clear paths: compete, attend, or become a vendor. Organize the information so every visitor understands the experience.

03

The Founding Participants

Recruit the first braiders, secure vendor commitments, and approach potential sponsors with a professional event proposal.

04

The Production Plan

Finalize competition categories, judges, prizes, floor layout, sound, lighting, staffing, and event-day responsibilities.

05

The Public Launch

Publish magazine features, release tickets, share daily content, and promote the event throughout Dallas–Fort Worth.

06

The Next Edition

Document the event, track revenue and expenses, share results, evaluate lessons, and develop the next show.

THE EXPERIENCE COMES TO LIFE

EVENT DAY.

The venue is ready. The registration table is organized. Competitors know where to go. Vendors have their booths set up. The sound system works. The schedule is printed. Staff members understand their responsibilities.

People arrive with tickets on their phones. Braiders check in. Vendors welcome customers. The photographer captures the experience. The announcer welcomes everyone to the show.

The competition begins. The audience watches. The judges evaluate. The community connects. The event unfolds according to a prepared plan, supported by a checklist, budget, schedule, and team.

What once existed as an idea is now an experience people can walk into, participate in, and remember.

AN IDEA BECOMES AN EXPERIENCE.
AN EXPERIENCE BECOMES A BUSINESS.
THE BIGGER PICTURE

THE PLATFORM I AM BUILDING.

I am the creator of a DFW beauty platform. I bring braiders out of the background and onto the stage. I connect beauty professionals with customers, brands with buyers, and local talent with opportunities.

I turn creative ideas into organized projects, organized projects into completed events, and completed events into a growing business.

My magazine tells the stories. My website opens the doors. My social media attracts the audience. My competition celebrates the talent. My vendors and sponsors help create the experience. My business earns revenue by delivering value to the people who participate.

I build it step by step, document what works, and make each edition better than the last.

I do not need to have everything figured out on the first day. I can begin with a venue inquiry. Then I can develop the landing page. Then I can connect with one braider, one vendor, and one potential sponsor.

Each completed action gives me something real to build upon. I finish one piece, recognize the progress, and move to the next.

ONE STEP AT A TIME

WHAT IS THE NEXT PIECE I CAN FINISH?

I complete that piece. I mark it complete. Then I move to the next.

DFW IS THE COMMUNITY. BRAIDING IS THE ART. THE HAIR SHOW IS THE EXPERIENCE.

THE BUSINESS IS THE PLATFORM BEING BUILT.
